Where We Came From
1999
OnTrack Started
OnTrack is founded by father-and-son team James and Corrie van Wyk, after James spends six months in the UK mastering generator and alternative energy system design.
2004
OnTrack Split into Two
To meet growing demand, OnTrack splits into two. Corrie leads the solar division, supplying luxury lodges and becoming South Africa’s first Victron Distributor. James drives the generator division for the telecoms industry.
2009
Energenic Started
Energenic is founded by James and Lynn van Wyk as an electrical supplies distribution company.
2018
OnTrack & Energenic Merge
Following Corrie’s passing and James’s resignation from GL, Energenic and OnTrack merge, specialising in alternative energy solutions for luxury lodges.
2020
GL Joins the Team
After James’s restraint of trade ends, he reacquires GL, bringing it into the Energenic family.
2022
Energenic Holdings
Is Established
Energenic Holdings becomes the holding company of Energenic GL and Energenic AE.
2024
EPS Africa and EPS Tanzania
are established
EPS Africa expands with operations in Maun, Botswana and Dar es Salaam, Tanzania.
2024
Energenic sees a facelift
A full rebrand modernises the company and clearly differentiates its three business units. Engineuity Joins the group.
2025
Sanari Invests in Energenic &
EPC Africa becomes Tekton
Sanari invests in Energenic Holdings. Enric Badsarrasi is appointed CEO, while James transitions to CTO and Executive Director & EPC Africa becomes Tekton Africa.
